
Pay Rates
*Alaska is in contract negotiations. Their pay scale does not increase past the 2020 rates.
**Alaska uses a Trip for Pay (TFP) system. Pay is based on DOT distance rather than hours flown. To compare with other airlines multiply the above pay rates by 1.15
Minimum Guarantee
Lineholder: 65-95 TFP
Reserve: 90 TFP

Leader Pay
"A" position flight attendants earn an extra $2.00 per TFP.
International Pay
Paid $1.00 per TFP extra on each international flight.

Deadhead Pay
All deadheads are paid at 100% per TFP
Holiday Pay
Lineholders flying on a holiday will be paid at 200%.
Reserves flying on a holiday receive 100% of flown TFP toward reserve guarantee and then an additional 100% TFP on top of guarantee.
Holiday Days: New Year's Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

Productivity Premium Program
Flight attendants will be paid a "bonus" based on productivity during certain months of blocks of months.
​
For June, July, August, and December a flight attendant will earn $350 per month extra if the goal of bid award + 5 TFP is met.
​
For the remaining 8 months if a flight attendant works their combined bid award (all 8 months) + 40 TFP they will receive a total of $1100.
​
The maximum payout for a year is $2500.
​
Per Diem
$2.50 per hour away from base.
Vacation Pay and Accrual
Vacation Pay and Credit
Vacation pays 4.0 TFP per day.

Vacation Bidding
Vacation periods must be a minimum of 7 days.
​
Longevity Paid Time Off (PTO)
Flight attendants that have 25 years of seniority and work at least 960 TFP will receive 7 days of PTO for the next year.

Sick Pay and Accrual
Sick Accrual
Flight attendants will accrue 1 TFP of sick leave for every 10 TFP worked in a month. The sick bank will max out once reaching 1700 TFP.

Sick Pay and Usage
A lineholder will be charged TFP from their sick bank based on their scheduled flying.
A reserve will be charged 5.0 TFP for each reserve day missed.

Hours of Service
Minimum Days Off
Lineholders are required to have a minimum of 12 days off.
Reserves must have a minimum of 12 days off in a 30 day month or 13 days off in a 31 day month.
A flight attendant may voluntarily pick up trips on days off.
Retirement/401k
401k Contributions
Alaska will match 100% of flight attendant contributions up to 7.5%

The total maximum company contribution is 7.5%
​

Parking
Alaska will pay for a parking pass at the flight attendants domicile.
If parking at a non-base where employee parking is available a flight attendant will only pay costs above what the company pays at their domicile.
A flight attendant may opt-out of parking and will will receive $75.00 per month.

Flight attendants have pass benefits on Alaska flights.

Jump-seating
Flight attendants have the privilege of jump-seating on Alaska flights. They may also jumpseat on other air carriers that have reciprocal agreements with Alaska.
Union Information

Association of Flight Attendants (AFA)
Flight attendants are required to maintain membership with the AFA as a condition of employment.

Contract
The current contract is effective February 9th, 2018 to December 17th, 2021.
Contract negotiations are currently in progress.
​
Probation
A flight attendant shall be on probation for the first 180 days of employment.
